Air-Fried Yuca/Casava Fries

A delicious, crispy, easy to digest fries made from Yuca/Casava a Caribbean root vegetable.

Ingredients

  • 0.75 lbs Casava
  • Cooking spray
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Add frozen yuca to a pot with water turn heat on high to bring to a boil. Cook for 15–20 min until fork tender but not mushy. Drain and let it cool slightly for 5 min.
  • Slice yuca into fry like shapes making sure to remove any strings from the center of the the yam.
  • Toss the yuca fries with salt and spray them with pam till all sides are evenly coated.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (205°C).
  • Arrange yuca fries in a single layer in the air fryer tray or basket.
  • Cook for 15 minutes, turning the fries halfway through process. Fry until crispy and lightly golden brown.
